The bike-share program is just about ready to kick-off in Manhattan. Already I see divisiveness. How can something that is so good, and so positive, become a point of contention?
Dang, I got two wrong.
Wow – the new NYC bike-share bikes have pedal-powered lights, drum brakes that work in the rain, splatter guards, comfy seats, a holder for my messenger bag, puncture-resistant tires filled with nitrogen, and a blue color that’s even cooler than Facebook-blue and Twitter-blue combined! $95 per year gets unlimited commuter rides.
This is a big leap from the Trek mountain bike I commuted on from Brooklyn to Manhattan for several years at the beginning of the 21st century.
